We've Loved Every Minute Of Our Journey

Surrey Memorial Hospital

Hey Surrey pride... I work in Surrey Memorial Hospital, and I need to make that place more LGBTQ2!! It’s absurd how unwelcoming it is for our community. I have been lobbying the hospital to take over one of their (empty) display cases in the halls near the cafeteria. In it I want to place information, posters, flags, and other items that may increase feelings of safety and knowledge about local programs. Not only do I want patients and families to have a more knowledge, but also the staff!!

That being said, I need content!! It all needs to be approved by the management and director of course. I have some content already from Health Initiative for Men (HIM), who has some clinics in the Fraser Health region.... but I will need more. I am from Vancouver, and so am not as aware of local groups or organizations.

Please contact me here, or reach out to me at Chad.Walters@fraserhealth.ca.

 QMUNITY Job Posting P/T

I am very excited to announce that QMUNITY is in a place to add to our education and training team! We are currently hiring for a part-time training facilitator to act as the primary lead on about 60 workshops per year, on queer, trans, and Two-Spirit safety and competency. While the first iteration of this new job is part-time, I anticipate a lot of opportunities for growth and more hours down the road.

Scheduled start date is March 5, 2018, and I am accepting applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis.
